People of color committed to promoting progressive ideas, education, and critical thinking that informs and encourages active engagement in our democracy.

Anastasia Rowland-Seymour

I'm a touchy feely doctor, practicing some outlandish stuff, healing people and learning the next generation up. Passionate about teaching wellness and resilience in this crazy mixed up world, knowing we all need a little strength and light to bring us through this turmoil.

Karima E. Rustin

By day I’m the average employee running in the rat race, by night I work on formulating my plan to take over the world... or at least Harlem. I'm a New Yorker who talks, stomps, rants, and hopefully inspires individuals to question everything.

 Lucinda Holt

I’m a mother and sexual health peddler, who somehow ended up living west of the Hudson River, but I’m OK with that. I’m not so OK with the patients running the insane asylum that is the U.S.

Lydia Holt

The Small Black Woman; some call me the Ghetto Intellectual. I'm a creative soul, a Texan living in Brooklyn and an Earl Grey enthusiast. I began dabbling in the stay-at-home-mom-of-two-in-Park-Slope-Brooklyn lifestyle years ago and fear I may be too deep into "The Life" to ever truly extricate myself. I’m just trying not to lose my mind in this whack-a-doodle world we call home.

 Marlin Paschal

I am a philosopher who happens to be a lawyer and a lawyer who understands why most people don't like lawyers. I am often disappointed in my fellow Americans, but I know they will eventually do the right thing when all other options have failed. In my role as Pickaninny, I hope to help my countrymen along the road to enlightenment, before anyone realizes I don't actually have directions!

 Nichole Rustin-Paschal

I’ve earned a PhD and a JD, yet still don’t understand the triflingness in the world. My quest for clarity and social justice continues through this forum and hopefully, draws a map guiding our children through this madness.

 Phillip Rowland-Seymour

Phillip is a pseudo-intellectual, displaced New Yorker (who's actually only lived in NYC for 2 years), aspiring racial justice warrior, and recovering academician. Phillip is a colored person who can't help but think about stuff (even if his thinking isn't that deep).

Sheryl Wright

I'm a political junkie, a foodie, and an armchair sociologist (because I stopped at a master’s). After spending many years in the Matrix, I'm cobbling together a life which allows me more time for pursuits that express my vision of a fulfilling existence: being politically active, cooking and baking, and using my voice to engage people in our democracy.
